Sourced from the sun-kissed highlands of Llano Bonito in Costa Rica’s West Valley region, this Caturra is grown between 1,600 and 1,800 meters. Tiny micro-mills like Helsar de Zarcero work closely with local growers to hand-select only the best cherries.
The producers contributing to this lot are part of a community of experienced growers who work with dedicated attention to detail at every stage. Cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness, then fully washed and dried on patios and raised beds under careful supervision.
What you get in the cup is classic, comforting, smooth & syrupy sweetness with notes of fresh dates, soft prunes, and the gentle richness of cane sugar. It’s a reminder of why Costa Rican coffee has held its place as a specialty staple.
