This one is special. Our head roaster Chris is part of HEQA, and this lot was processed by him and his team’s protocol in Bali. Grown by Kanggo in Belancan Village, Kintamani, the farm sits between 1200 and 1400 meters in fertile volcanic soil. Cobra and Yellow Caturra are planted in separate plots, allowing each variety to fully express its character in the mountain climate of Bali.
Cherries are sourced directly from Kanggo’s farm and delivered within an hour to the HEQA processing facility in northern Bali. This proximity ensures peak freshness before entering a tightly controlled anaerobic pulped natural process. Through precise fermentation and careful drying, the team unlocks clarity, structure, and depth.
The result is a layered cup with red apple brightness, warm rooibos tones, and a rounded pecan sweetness that speaks to both Bali’s terroir and HEQA’s innovative approach.
