Gichathaini Factory is located in the red volcanic soils of Nyeri, a region known for producing some of Kenya’s most distinctive coffees. Around 900 farmers contribute cherries to the factory, cultivating their trees across 450 hectares of fertile land.
The cooperative’s commitment to quality, where cherries are dried slowly on raised beds. The combination of high altitude, rich soil, and careful processing creates a cup that showcases the clarity, brightness, and complexity that Nyeri coffees are celebrated for.
