The Story:
Nestled in the lush, cool mountains of Boquete, in the province of Chiriquí, Panama, lies a 3.5-hectare gem of coffee cultivation — the farm of Martha Elena Gonzales. This farm, inherited from her grandparents, has been lovingly tended for generations. Though Martha's family didn’t receive formal training, their decades of experience and passion for coffee have made this estate one of the finest examples of Panamanian coffee cultivation. In 2016, their Natural Gesha took 5th place in the Best of Panama competition, solidifying their legacy as one of the best.
The Process:
Martha’s natural Gesha is grown at 1,600 meters above sea level, with the ideal climate and volcanic soils that Boquete is known for. The cherries are carefully handpicked, processed naturally, and sun-dried to enhance the distinct fruity and floral notes.
Tasting Notes:
Expect a complex, fruity cup with vibrant red apple, delicate hibiscus, and a hint of plum, offering an elegant balance between floral sweetness and rich fruitiness. Its clean finish and bright acidity make this an extraordinary coffee experience.
